or one in seven Americans, has some type of learning disability.
Among school-age children, more than 6 percent are currently receiving
special education services because of learning disabilities –
that’s almost 3 million students!
Children with learning disabilities begin school expecting to learn
and be successful. If your child is having difficulty in school,
she may learn differently from other kids. Parents are often the
